If you back a book campaign:

  • The Author will see your account name
  • The amount pledged
  • The reward selected

Authors never receive your credit card or payment details.

If a campaign is successfully funded, the Author may receive the email address associated with your account solely for fulfillment and communication purposes.

Authors may also receive anonymized analytics showing traffic and engagement data related to their campaign.

Public Information

When you create a BookFund account, a basic profile page is created.

Publicly visible information may include:

  • Your account name
  • Account creation date
  • Books you’ve launched
  • Books you’ve supported (pledge amounts remain private)
  • Comments you’ve posted
  • Profile picture or bio (if you choose to add them)

Your profile is not searchable via external search engines, but your account name may appear publicly on campaigns you support.

If you prefer anonymity, you may choose a non-identifiable username.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process transactions and campaign participation
  • Provide customer support
  • Communicate important service updates
  • Recommend books based on your interests
  • Improve platform performance and user experience
